Project Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Design contractor to join our Global team. As a Senior UX/UI designer you will augment the existing Design team working closely with Product Managers and engineers to fulfill ongoing product initiatives as required.

You will define and create interactions flows, wireframes, drive new products and features for both web and mobile platforms. We are looking for a lead designer who is passionate about solving complex problems to create best-in-class experiences for our users.

Responsibilities:

You will be embedded within a cross-functional product squad and lead design for one or more product areas;
Responsible for all design artifacts produced from research to journey mapping thorough to high fidelity and high-quality UI mockups & prototypes that adhere to desired brand specifications, as well as usability and accessibility standards;
Collaborate with Design, Product and Engineering teams to ensure project delivery meets deadlines and quality standards;
Ability to clearly articulate design work and rationale to designers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners for review and feedback;
Proactively contribute component design and documentation to a rapidly growing Design System;
Output and organize files into a consistent structure for handoff to Engineering teams, and work with them to review and ensure quality implementation;
Proactively identify and troubleshoot UI/UX problems or issues and work with the design team to resolve;
Your ideas and experience should help shape and mould the broader Product Roadmaps;
Share learnings from research initiatives with the wider Design Team;
Understand the target users’ needs, motivations and behaviours as it relates to a specific product/project or area;
Drive Design reviews and handle stakeholder/engineering feedback appropriately;
Build, maintain and proactively partner with PM/Engineers to enable effective collaboration and communication within designated product squad;
Be accountable for design quality, product cohesion and flag/escalate concerns to responsible Designers/Design Managers where necessary.

Requirements:

Experience working within an Agile delivery environment;
Solid experience working as a Product Design or UX/UI hybrid within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment;
Expertise in developing and conveying ideas, data, and business concepts clearly in written, verbal, and visual formats;
Strong visual design skills (i.e., composition, iconography, layout, typography, color theory);
Proficient experience with modern design & prototyping tools such as Figma;
Strong ability to conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design challenges in new and often ambiguous product territory;
You appreciate those tough strategic conversations as much as you enjoy crafting solutions from their outcomes;
Design Products not as a singular feature, but with a holistic approach and system-level view of the wider platform;
Proven UX/UI design experience across both web and mobile platforms;
Experience utilizing, developing, and managing UI Kits/Design systems;
Experience owning large-scale projects, communicating timelines, and executing independently;
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills;
Proactive communicator, comfortable liaising with Leadership, Product Management and Engineering to facilitate and progress product work;
A portfolio of design projects.
